People respond to,'Mugabe has no intentions of retiring'

13 years ago | 12670 Views
PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe recently ruled out retiring say "Luckily, God has given me this longer life than others to be with you and I will not let you down"...

The People respond

Shaman Sans Frontieres :
Oh, please. It'd be far more courageous as well as commonsense for him to retire from the scene. it is fear that keeps him going. Fear of a bathetic end, either at the ICC in the Hague or at the end of a long knife from an internal rival, or at the hands of a crowd of angry citizens. His talk of the death of the joint government and the need for its burial is wonderfully ironic. His sad old party is the walking dead. Life in all its joy, liberty, creative good, light and truth is antithetical to ZANU-PF who exist by means of intimidation, assassination, brutal thuggery and subfusc behaviour.

Musorini
Just wondering what ZANUISTS really feel inside when Bob said that NO-ONE except himself was capable of leading the party and country.

That is as good as a wife saying to her husband, "Saka unoti uri murume kana kuti baba pachii," i.e. in what capacity do you proclaim to be the man or father in this house??

This statement became more apparent when the trousers (formerly men's exclusive attire in pre-colonial era in African countries) also became women's attire too.

AlwaysRhodesian:
And jolly good show too! With Comrade Mugabe at the helm it is only a matter of time before the tables are turned on the Gay Bandits who demonize this indefatigable warrior - he is an inspiration to all.

Small matter of starving masses, ruined economy, overblown ego - oh heck, let's be quite correct, the man's  looney - be damned, Comrade Bob (CB) is single-handidly taking on the heavy mantle of world's comedian extraodinaire.

Only a matter of time before we're in serious difficulty in the West, probably down to no more than 20-30 TV stations, sky high petrol prices et al - and here's poor old CB having to do all the heavy lifting in the comedy department.

Perhaps he could consider having a love child with Comrade Ed Miliband (what the hell's the deal with that ever-present sneer/smirk?) to help with comedy for the next generation?

Tis the season to be jolly, alll together ....

peachy:
Well..........at least Mugabe thinks he's great.

The rest of us see clearly that he's the worst thing that happened to Africa since AIDS.

Grumpy Dunce :
What an idiot. What a complete and utter waste of oxygen, and to think that many Africans look up to him as some sort of leader is just sad. Bob, I sincerely hope that your overly long years don't get any longer.

Mnorgaileta:
What's the difference between Mugabe and Gadaffi?

A One is a murderous ruthless dictator that has corrupted his country with denying his people freedom of choice, and if necessary, using state sponsored violence against them, and the other is dead.

It is hypocritical of the West to bleat so much about freedom of speech and democracy and yet say nothing about Mugabe. But then, it is only Africa, they are only Africans, they don't really matter and they'd probably piss the aid we would give them up against the wall anyway.

NWD321:
This is one thug who has got away with murder all these years
plundered his own country of its wealth and has the audasity to blame the west for every thing, especially the UK.

chods:
Makorokoto VaMugabe thank you for deciding to do this. God knows why you are in that position and has granted you this long life. We need people like you in these times. Truely people will see how much good you have done to zimbabwe when you gone and they shall regret. You are a Leader to be remembered. tsvangirai akatonga zimbabwe inenge yatongova ( UK).

David Hurst :
Cowardice is brutal dictatorship, end of story, people are looking at their watches as they await the end.  Erections are a farce, and we await South Africas' government statement on previous elections.  Perhaps all are looking at the same watch.  That the current government is unworkable is no surprise, as Mugabe was elected by 'default', namely complete intimidation of opposition to the point of not participating in the Mugabe show.   Shame on South Africa for its silence.

DocScience:
And Mugabe's idiot-for-life enabler Prince Charles needs to step down as well.

simon_coulter:
Essentially a dictator, king for life - this is what we delivered the people of the country now known as Zimbabwe into - and it remains our shame.

bassetedge:
He's not stepping down?
There's a surprise.

trooper:
'plotting against him and clouding with his old enemy, the United States.'

Clouding? Bloody, hell, it gets worse and worse. It's COLLUDING, for pity's sake.

charlietwo:
The way he steals legitimately owned property off people just because they are white is completely wrong. And before anyone says anything at least some of the white owned farms he's stolen were purchased by white people within his own laws after independence. The film Mugabe and the White African is an eye opener to this man's appalling treatment of minorities in his country. anyone considering speaking in defence of Mugabe should watch it it's available on Itunes.

leeenfield:
Can´t some ex- Rhodesian SAS trooper just slot the bastard ?

curmudgeon57:
"Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe pladges not to step down"
Now there's a surprise!

timtaylor:
Mugabe is a nutter.

PeterChubbyfan:
mugabe wont die, its a law he has passed for the glorious benefit of all zimbabweans..it is illegal for mugabe to die, it cannot ever happen, and it will not ever happen...mugabe no die no die no no.

jpotter:
Typical african democracy is "one man, one vote, once".

Ice_Berg:
HE KNOWS, once he moves aside unless he's found a safe haven he'll be toast and the missus's will have their Swiss accounts frozen.

Bob Landy:
I don't know what people are complaining about.
This is post colonial Africa at its resplendent best. A people liberated from the shackles of the white man’s rule. A country governed by its own people.
Really, you should all be ashamed of yourselves for not sharing with and rejoicing in this utopia.

chrysostomos:
Oh but you forget the leftist mantra as to why it is the way it is: the white man exploited all of the resources and people and have depleted the people and traumatised the resources.... Or is it the other way around? I seem to suffer spontaneous narcolepsy whenever I read leftist drivel.

James Parris:
Yes, and think how much more efficient Britain would be if it had been occupied by Germans, whose economy has outshone Britain's for a century. That's the kind of thing you man, isn't it? Or are you just a squalid little racist?

tobyteasdale:
We were, the Saxons early 5th century AD.
From whom we got our nastiest habits and best swear words.

Bob Landy:
I most certainly am not advocating German occupation of Britain. Let's celebrate everybody's independence.
"That's the kind of thing you man, isn't it?" If you rewrite that in English I may reply.
""......squalid little racist?" I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.

jsf:
It doesn't appear to be racist, it is a comment which is truthful and demonstrably true.
If you cannot agree that Mugabe follows the pattern set by inumerable African  leaders you must either be lacking in basic understanding or the ultimate example of faux political corectness

nohopeforthisplace:
Well done the British Foreign Office and Carrington in particular, not forgetting the loveable Christopher Soames, for putting this ordure at the helm of a going concern! Perfidious Albion? You bet!

ilokid:
Given this outrages that this thug has perpetrated on his own people, I have often wondered why the US and NATO continue to turn a blind eye to him and his henchmen.   The answer is that he is black, and whilst Obama and his cohorts seem to have little concern about overthrowing regimes in North Africa, which appear destined to be replaced with fundamental Islamists, the thought of providing moral support to overthrow a black dictator is alien to them.

dondo:
This savage has destroyed the country – the sooner he goes to meeet his maker the better for all of us.

Sense Politics:
AT SOME POINT, A MAN HAS TO RETIRE.....ITS AN ACT OF MIND CONTROL FOR MUGABE TO SUGGEST THAT QUITTING FOR HIM IS A SIGN OF COWARDICE.......HE IS DRUNK WITH POWER, AND CANT IMAGINE A DAY OUT OF STATE HOUSE BECAUSE ALL HIS LIFE, HE HAS MANIPULATED EVERYONE AROUND HIM TO BELIEVE HE IS THE ONLY ONE MAN ENOUGH FOR THE JOB.

RIDING A TIGER IS NOT EASY, YU CANT GET OFF; WHEN YOU DO THE TIGER WILL EAT YOU.THE SUFFERRING PEOPLE OF ZIMBABWE ARE THE TIGER. MUGABE IS THE RIDER. THIS FILTH DICTATOR WHO HAS GROWN SENILE AND DROOLS HIS WAY THROUGH CONFERENCES AND RIGS AND STEALS ELECTIONS THINKS ZIMBABWE ZIMBABWE IS HIS KINGDOM. WITH HIS CONCUBINE GRACE THEY HAVE MORE THAN FIFTEEN FARMS AND WITH HIS CABINET OF VAMPIRES AND MURDEROUS THEY OWN HALF THE COUNTRY.THE DAY IS COMING. WE WILL SHAKE OFF THE CHIANS OF POVERTY, OF HUNGER, OF SLAVERY, OF FEAR, THEY HAVE FOISTERED UPON US.WE SHALL HAVE SCHOOLS, FUNCTIONING HOSPITALS, OUR OWN CURRENCY, FREEDOM OFF SPEECH. MUGABE AND HIS THUGS INHERITED A COUNTRY WITH THE BEST ECONOMY IN AFRICA. INSTEAD OF IMPROVING ON IT THEY LOOTED IT. THEY ARE NOW OBSCENELY RICH. WHAT A BUNCH OF VAMPIRES. VERY SOON THEY WILL STAND BEFORE THE COURTS OF LAW WHICH IS IMPARTIAL AND ACCOUNT FOR THEIR EVIL AGAINST THE LONG SUFFERING MASSES OF ZIMBABWE. WE ARE TIRED. MUGABE YOU ARE FINISHED; HOW MANY YEARS DO YOU THINK YOU WILL LAST TO BE HONEST. IF PEOPLE LOVE YU AS YOU SAY WHY DO YOU MOVE AROUND WITH AN ARMY OF SOLDIERS HEAVILY ARMED AMONG YOUR OWN PEOPLE.? GADDAFFI SAID::my people love me and the people dragged him from a ditch of filth and beat him up and shot him. AND LIKE YOU GADDAFFI WAS USING BOTOX TO MAKE HIS FACE LOOK YOUNGER. WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU. THE BLOOD OF THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS WHO HAVE DIED AT YOUR HANDS IS CRYING OUT MR DICTACTOR. PLEASE DONT DIE BEFORE WE GET YOU. GOD FORGIVE ME

"...a country with the best economy in Africa"....... Strange. I was there, and old enough to see, yet I was never aware that we were so blessed: there were far too many of my people working the industries, mines etc...for peanuts. Too many farming on unyielding land. Then Independence from Ian Smith's arpatheid came, amidst such hope and expectation. Ahhh.... but it brought the 5th Brigade with it..and soldiers who called us dissidents, slapped my mother and threatened me with rape, and tortured my ex-combatant cousin, a "hero". In 1987, I packed my bags and left. So you see, I've never been "independent". At this rate, I never will be to my grave. I don't know why, but I did dare hope when Gordon Brown became PM, but that's as 'good' as it's ever got. Tragic but true.

How much does Tsvangirai earn in his role as PM? I ask because if it's true that he earns under $300, then there's no way he could have afforded the thousands he has not denied paying for "damages" to his girlfriend's parents. Mugabe said councillors are thieves. We'd listen and hear him better if he in turn explained how he is able to live in such vulgar wealth and opulence in such a struggling country. Just because people want Mugabe to go does not mean that they have to have the PM if he's proving morally bankrupt, reckless and greedy already. It is not a divine right to lead Zimbabwe. Biti is PROVING himself a contender for the job already.

Well done Mugabe live longer our HERO. You have kept this country intact and we pray that God gives us a good successor when you leave at least at the age of 102years. Well done. Zimbabweans hands up.
